About these terms

These terms apply when you use the M's Sweet Bakes & Treats website (mssweetbakes.co.ke) or Android app to browse cakes or place an order. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. Questions? WhatsApp or call us on 0799 511 960.

Your account

You must be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order. Please give accurate contact details so we can reach you about your order, and keep your password private. You can delete your account at any time — see our account deletion page.

Orders

• Every cake is made to order. Please order at least 24 hours before you need it; larger or more detailed cakes may need more notice.
• An order is confirmed once we have verified your M-Pesa payment. We may contact you to confirm design details before baking.
• Photos show our past work. Because each cake is handmade, colours, decorations and toppers may vary slightly from the pictures.
• We may decline an order we can't fulfil (for example, a date we are fully booked). If we do, we refund anything you have paid.

Prices & payment

• Prices are in Kenya Shillings (KES) and are shown before you order, including any add-ons and delivery fee.
• You pay by M-Pesa, either a 50% deposit or the full amount, and submit your transaction code in the app or website. Any balance is due before or on collection or delivery.
• Payments are made directly through M-Pesa. We never ask for your M-Pesa PIN.

Collection & delivery

You can collect your cake from us near Masjid Tawba, Mombasa, or choose delivery to the zones listed at checkout. Please be available at the time you chose. Once a cake has been collected or handed over at the delivery address, please keep it cool and carry it flat.

Changes, cancellations & refunds

• To change or cancel an order, contact us on WhatsApp as early as possible.
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your collection or delivery time get a full refund.
• Within 48 hours we may already have bought ingredients or started baking, so the deposit is non-refundable.
• If something is wrong with your cake, tell us on the day with a photo and we will make it right.

Allergies

Our kitchen handles eggs, milk, wheat (gluten), nuts and soy. Please tell us about any allergies in your order notes before ordering. We take care, but we can't guarantee any cake is completely free of allergens.

Using our app & website

Please don't misuse the app or website, for example by submitting false payment codes or trying to access other people's accounts. We may suspend accounts that do. Our photos, logo and content belong to M's Sweet Bakes & Treats.

How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy.

Liability & law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Kenya's Consumer Protection Act. Otherwise, our responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date below. Orders already placed follow the terms in force when you placed them.
